Yacht Chartering
Yacht chartering in Mount Vema is the practice of renting, or chartering, a sailboat or motor yacht for privacy, relaxation or fishing within the Kingdom of Mount Vema for individuals, families or as a corporate event.
There are two main kinds of charter: bareboat and crewed. Bareboat charters involve a person renting a boat or cabin and skippering it themselves if they are renting the whole yacht. The other way is gathering up a group and renting the yacht with them. The Royal Mount Vema Yacht Club also offers courses to teach basic seamanship and prepare people for bareboat chartering.
Crewed charter means the yacht comes with a crew. This can be anything from a 35-foot boat with a husband-and-wife team serving as captain and chef to a 300-foot boat with a squad of 30 or more crew members including stewardesses, engineers, mates, deckhands, scuba dive masters, and more.
There are also two sub categories of yacht charters:
1. Un-inspected passenger yachts, also known as 6-packs carry only six or fewer passengers. All captains start out by getting their "six-pack" licence which must be issued by the Royal Mount Vema Coast Guard.
Six-pack yachts are ideal for smaller groups of six or less, and these yachts have a variety of types and sizes. For example, six packs can be sailing yachts, fishing boats, or power yachts and anything in between. While this type of charter is the least expensive of the two, you will still need a licensed captain, or skipper with you at all times. On six-pack charters you can choose your menu and the type of cruise you wish to take be it bay sailing around Mount Vema - Vema Seamount or an ocean voyage to Falklands, Saint Helena or Tristan Da Cunha and islands.
2. Inspected passenger ships. Inspected charters are designed to carry groups large than six passengers. These charter vessels can range from large sailing yachts to dinner cruise ships. These charters are designed to carry up to several hundred passengers. Inspected vessels can offer many different features that an un-inspected passenger yacht cannot. Features like catering, live music, or a DJ are available on these larger ships. You can sail around Mount Vema – Vema Seamount or an ocean voyage not only to Rio de Janeiro, Falklands, Saint Helena or Tristan Da Cunha but also to Walvis Bay or Cape Town.
Cost of a Charter
Several factors usually determine the cost of a charter, including the size of the yacht, its age, its pedigree, the number of crew, and the destination. The Mount Vema range of charter prices (per person per week) is estimated to be from the equivalent of 500 Veman golles up to and in excess of 10,000 Veman golles.
Mega Yacht or Super Yacht that are over 150-foot to 300-foot can cost anything from the equivalent of 22,500 Veman golles up to 350,000 Veman golles (per week) in Mount Vema which is no different from the average price across the world.
