Mount Vema

The island of Mount Vema and its adjacent waters is a sovereign territory administered by His Majesty's Government of Mount Vema on behalf of The Vema Seamount Authority. The territory is referred to as Mount Vema and Vema Seamount, however Kingdom of Mount Vema is the official country name, aiming to be the largest and the only floating City-State in the world, an ideal outpost for scientists, environmentalists, and marine conservation.

When people think of Mount Vema or Vema Seamount today, images of water, fishery, royalty and wealth spring to mind, however, this tiny South East Atlantic territory is unique. It is not only a piece of rock inextricably linked with The Vema Seamount Authority (The Monarch of Mount Vema), it is also an underwater monument.
